Saudi Arabia Prepares for Immediate Escalation Amid Multi-Front Tensions with Iran
Since yesterday, Saudi Arabia has been preparing “urgently” for a scenario of escalation with Iran, a foreign intelligence source told Kan News on Monday evening. According to the source, Saudi Arabia is working to reinforce its air defense systems in order to thwart any drone or missile attack aimed at vital sites in the kingdom.
However, the Saudi scenario does not involve only Iran, but also additional fronts. At the same time, Saudi Arabia is preparing for a surprise attack from Iraq and Yemen.
Exchange of fire took place over the past 24 hours between Iran and Israel following an Israeli strike in Beirut’s Dahieh, until both sides announced a ceasefire. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps emergency command said, “We announce the suspension of the armed forces’ operations, but if the aggression and evil continue, including in southern Lebanon, much more severe and crushing measures will be on the way.” They claimed that “the firing at Israel was in response to the Israeli strike in Dahieh.”
Hours after the announcement, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a statement to the public. Netanyahu referred to threats from Tehran that it would resume the fire if Israel attacked in Lebanon, and said, “Over the past day, Iran and Hezbollah tried to impose a new equation on us, it is intolerable and unacceptable to me.”
More on this, Trump to Kan News: thinks Israel has responded enough, no need for more. IDF: “Preparing for fighting of several days and even for a prolonged period.”
