Singer Oshar Cohen performed on Thursday night for the first time at Ramat Gan Stadium, in a huge concert attended by tens of thousands. All tickets sold out in less than 24 hours after sales opened.
During the show, Cohen sang his biggest hits and received strong sing-along participation from the audience. At one point he paused to drink water and addressed the crowd with a personal message.
Before reciting the Hebrew blessing "shehakol" over the water, Cohen said, "I used not to say a blessing on stage when I drank, then a rabbi told me that sometimes the 'amen' is much more important than the blessing. So thank you to the rabbi who taught me that." He then said "shehakol nihyeh bidvaro," and the audience responded with "Amen."
