A new Channel 14 seat projection released Thursday night suggests that the US agreement with Iran, and the harsh criticism it has drawn in Israel, has not yet hurt Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu politically. In the poll, Likud, led by Netanyahu, remains the largest party with 33 seats.
The next largest lists are Yashar with 20 seats and Beyachad with 10. Shas also gets 10 seats, followed by the Democrats with 9. Yisrael Beiteinu and United Torah Judaism receive 8 seats each, Otzma Yehudit 7, Hadash-Ta’al 6, Ra’am 5, and Religious Zionism 4. Blue and White falls below the electoral threshold, polling only 1.8%.
In bloc terms, the right-wing camp would control 62 seats, compared with 47 for the left-wing camp and 11 for Arab parties. Netanyahu also leads the prime minister suitability question by a wide margin, with 45% support.
The rest trail far behind: Gadi Eisenkot gets 34%, Naftali Bennett 12%, Avigdor Lieberman 8%, and Benny Gantz just 1%. A separate Channel 12 poll published the same night showed a very different picture, giving the coalition bloc only 51 seats, the opposition 59, and Arab parties 10.
