Foreign ministers from Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Egypt issued a joint statement condemning what they described as the continuing and intensifying violence by settlers against Palestinians in the West Bank.
The ministers said the attacks amount to a clear violation of the sanctity of places of worship and religious sites, as well as of international law, including international humanitarian law, and relevant United Nations resolutions.
The statement did not specify any new measures, but it represents a coordinated diplomatic rebuke from eight Muslim-majority countries. The ministers framed the issue as both a legal breach and an assault on religious sites, underscoring their shared concern over the situation in the West Bank.
