Michele Pru answered a rapid-fire beauty and style questionnaire at a Wisotsky COLD BREEZE event, where she discussed everything from cosmetic fears to favorite buys. She said her biggest beauty embarrassment is nail biting, explaining that when she gets nail extensions she immediately bites them, and before events she hides her fingers because, as she put it, “it is hard to be a woman.” She also said she is tempted by PRP treatment, which she has heard can be painful, and noted that she is not especially drawn to luxury brands.
For makeup, Pru listed Carlin mascara, Scarah lip liner in shade 01, a Benefit tint used on both cheeks and lips, and Drunk Elephant bronzer. Her most-used perfume is Hollister Wave, which she has worn since 10th grade and says costs 50 shekels, yet still gets her compliments. She identified eyebrow artist Moshe Teko as the only person allowed to handle her brows, and said she is not interested in Botox right now, though she believes everyone should do what feels right for them.
Pru said her three must-have beauty items are Benefit tint, a good mascara from Carlin, and a bronzer for a tanned look. Her hair tip is to avoid washing it too often and not to overload it with products, saying daily washing had the opposite effect for her. If she had only 15 minutes to get dressed, she would choose a sporty dress from Alo Yoga, the brand she also called her next shopping obsession because there is a store below her home.
On fashion and spending, Pru said her most expensive item is a pair of Meta Ray-Ban designer glasses that cost 2,000 shekels, while her cheapest wardrobe items are 20-shekel earrings and items from a 4-for-100 shekel sale at Top Ten, where she also shops for bargains. She named Brandy Melville as her favorite store abroad and Brenda by Bar Rom as her favorite Israeli brand. She prefers long nails, does not see herself as someone who neglects self-care, and said she loves paying, even joking, “I love being a sucker, I’m the classic tourist.”
