Former Israeli footballer Shimon Gershon launches digital rental guarantee startup with NIS 12 million investment
Former Hapoel Tel Aviv, Beitar Jerusalem and Israel national team player Shimon Gershon has launched a new business venture called "Arabuyot Yashir". According to Calcalist, the digital platform is designed to let apartment renters provide landlords with a rental guarantee online, quickly and without needing to deposit cash or arrange a bank guarantee.
The company charges tenants 6.5% of the guarantee per year. Gershon said he founded the business with an investment of about NIS 12 million and owns all of its shares.
The report says Gershon has been active in business since retiring from football. His holdings and investments have included cafes, real estate, and a hotel in Tel Aviv. In parallel, he has also written children's books and become increasingly involved in the business world.
