Guy Dahan has reached an agreement to sign with Maccabi Kiryat Gat, the newly promoted club in Israel’s National League. The move was reported on June 17, 2026, as a surprising addition for the second division side.
Dahan spent last season at Zimbru Chisinau in Moldova and was considered one of the leading players in the National League before moving abroad. A source close to the player told Sport 5 that Dahan had “good offers from the Romanian league,” but chose to return to Israel and join what he called Kiryat Gat’s “wonderful project.”
The source added that the club is “certain” to reach the Premier League in the coming years and said Dahan is coming back with “huge motivation” to the league he left, and to coach Roman Zulu, whom he “really likes.”
At Zimbru Chisinau, Dahan had a productive spell, scoring 10 league goals and one more in Conference League qualifying. During the season he also moved to Unirea in Romania’s top division, and has now completed that contract. In the National League, he is regarded as one of the most proven players, after standing out at Hapoel Nof HaGalil before beginning his European stint.
