Eilat is getting a new landmark attraction at Terminal Park, where crews are finishing a 40-meter Ferris wheel with 26 cabins, including four VIP cabins equipped with mini bars. At its highest point, the wheel will offer panoramic views over the city and the bay, and a rare lookout that can see four different countries.
The project is being built by Skywheel Eilat and, according to the company, it will be the most advanced Ferris wheel in Israel. It is expected to become the country’s third such major attraction, after Superland and Luna Park. Construction is currently slated to finish by the end of July, after which it will open to the public once final approval is granted.
Terminal Park is located on Eilat’s former airport site, which closed seven years ago and reopened in early 2024 after delays tied to the COVID pandemic and the war. The park hopes the new wheel will help establish it as a central draw for the city as summer approaches and the ceasefire still holds.
Entry to the park is free, with payment required only for each attraction. The park currently operates from 18:00 to 22:00, when the weather is more comfortable, and there are plans to eventually introduce a wristband for access to multiple rides. The Ferris wheel will join existing attractions such as bumper boats, a zip line, a slingshot ride, and other free family activities including a promenade, lounging areas, a playground, and rotating events with water zones, inflatables, workshops, performances, and food trucks.
