Israeli Artillery Shells Southern Lebanese Towns

Lebanese media reported on Friday that the Israeli military conducted artillery shelling targeting the town of Bani Hayyan in southern Lebanon in the afternoon. Earlier in the day, Lebanese outlets stated that Israeli artillery had struck the town of Zawtar al-Sharqiyyah, the outskirts of Meifadoun, and the vicinity of Beit Lif and Sarbin. The shelling in Zawtar al-Sharqiyyah reportedly caused a fire in the targeted neighborhood, originating from an Israeli tank positioned near Meifadoun. Consecutive explosions were heard, accompanied by heavy machine-gun fire from the western edges of the town. Additionally, early morning shelling targeted the towns of Al-Mansouri, Majdal Zoun, and Beit Yayyad.
