Gadi Eisenkot Slams Netanyahu's Circle, Calls Son 'Toxic Political Player'

Gadi Eisenkot, a prominent figure in Israeli politics, launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's inner circle, accusing them of spreading "betrayal conspiracies" regarding the October 7th Hamas attack to ensure their political survival. Speaking at a cultural event in Rishon LeZion, Eisenkot stated that these false narratives are already influencing public opinion, with a significant portion of young people he encounters believing in a betrayal theory.

Eisenkot specifically criticized Netanyahu's wife, Sara Netanyahu, for suggesting that the Prime Minister was not alerted on October 7th because military commanders did not want to wake him due to a desire to betray or advance personal agendas. He vehemently defended former IDF Major General Yair Golan, who is also running for political office, highlighting Golan's bravery on October 7th while Netanyahu was allegedly still asleep. Eisenkot asserted that such accusations against Golan are "crazy" and should be condemned.

Furthermore, Eisenkot directed sharp personal criticism at Yair Netanyahu, the Prime Minister's son, labeling him a "toxic political player" who spreads lies. Eisenkot contrasted Yair Netanyahu's alleged draft-dodging and public statements with his own family's tradition of military service and civic duty, stating that Yair Netanyahu, at 37, should be "vomited out of public life" for his actions.

Looking ahead to the upcoming elections, Eisenkot hinted at significant political maneuvers and potential alliances, promising "surprises in the coming days" as party lists are finalized. He expressed confidence in building a winning political platform and achieving a substantial victory in the elections.
