Palestinian Dies From Israeli Fire, Jerusalem Death Toll Reaches 17 This Year

A 33-year-old Palestinian man, Ibrahim Al-Hindi, died Friday from wounds sustained when he was shot by Israeli forces at Jerusalem's Damascus Gate. The governorate stated that Al-Hindi's killing is part of a pattern of "field executions" and "extrajudicial killings" by Israeli forces against Palestinians, which it described as a violation of international law and a crime against humanity.

Al-Hindi's death is the latest in a series of alleged crimes and violations by Israeli forces and armed settlers against Palestinians in the occupied territories, including Jerusalem. Israeli authorities have withheld Al-Hindi's body, marking the 53rd Palestinian body they have held since 1967. The Israeli police have also imposed a gag order on details surrounding his death. The incident follows a previous report of a Palestinian killed near Damascus Gate, who authorities claimed attempted to carry out a stabbing attack.
