Two New Neighborhoods Launched in Growing Haredi Settlement of Ma'ale Amos

The Haredi settlement of Ma'ale Amos in the Gush Etzion region has launched two new neighborhoods, 'Mitzpe Arugot' and 'Lakewood,' marking a significant expansion of the community. The launch event was attended by local rabbis, regional council leaders, and hundreds of residents.

The new neighborhoods are being developed by the 'Binyan HaGush' company. The ceremony featured speeches from Rabbi Ze'ev Wolf Charlaff, the local spiritual leader, who spoke about leadership and blessed those involved in strengthening the community. Elchanan Kadosh, CEO of 'Binyan HaGush,' highlighted the company's ongoing efforts to accommodate hundreds of additional families seeking to join the thriving Haredi community.

Yaron Rosenthal, head of the Gush Etzion Regional Council, noted Ma'ale Amos's rapid growth, stating that the settlement is responsible for one-third of all new housing units planned across the 28 settlements in the Gush Etzion bloc. He emphasized the settlement's significant contribution to the region's development.

Local committee chairman Yehonatan Glasner recounted the settlement's dramatic growth, from 40 families a decade ago to 240 today. He declared that this is not the last neighborhood to be inaugurated, underscoring the continued expansion plans for Ma'ale Amos.
