Maccabi Tel Aviv Faces Stiff Competition for Colombian Winger Camilo Mena

Israeli football club Maccabi Tel Aviv is reportedly facing significant competition in its pursuit of Colombian winger Camilo Mena. The 23-year-old player, currently with Polish club Legia Gdansk, has emerged as a target for Maccabi Tel Aviv as they seek to strengthen their squad with a new winger, following the withdrawal of another target, Elijah Adebayo.

Mena is also being pursued by Turkish newly-promoted side Çorum FK, with Turkish reports indicating strong interest. Furthermore, "additional clubs from Turkey and Greece have approached the player," according to a report, which also states Mena has recently received offers from clubs in Israel, the United States, and Greece's Aris Thessaloniki.

Mena is under contract with Legia Gdansk until 2028. While his market value is estimated at €4 million according to Transfermarkt, Gdansk is reportedly demanding no less than €8 million for his transfer. This asking price is notably higher than previous reports suggesting a fee between €3.5 million and €4 million.

Last season, Mena, who has previously represented Colombia's youth national teams, scored five goals and provided 10 assists in the league. It remains to be seen which club will ultimately secure his signature.
