Sharen Haskel's Yisrael Atfila Party to Run With Green Leaf Party

Sharen Haskel's Yisrael Atfila party announced Thursday it will run in the upcoming elections in a joint list with the Green Leaf party. The announcement was made at an event in Tel Aviv launching Haskel's party.

Haskel, a Member of Knesset, stated that the union is a "natural connection and coming full circle" for her, citing her years of parliamentary work advocating for individual liberty and cannabis legalization. She noted that Green Leaf led this fight long before the political establishment was willing to listen.

Nir Yifrah, chairman of the Green Leaf party, added that the parties fought for years for patients abandoned by the system and for citizens criminalized by outdated policies. He mentioned paying a heavy personal price for this struggle but never losing faith in the possibility of change.

The joint list aims to create a new political force, merging Yisrael Atfila's security and economic platform with Green Leaf's long-standing advocacy for individual freedoms, cannabis legalization, and the rights of medical cannabis patients. A key focus will be addressing the needs of hundreds of thousands of post-trauma sufferers, including soldiers and civilians, resulting from years of conflict.

Their platform includes promoting cannabis legalization, comprehensive reform of medical cannabis regulations, removing barriers for patients, and advancing research and innovative treatments for post-trauma and mental health issues.
