Four New Settlements in West Bank Officially Recognized

Israel's Ministry of Interior has officially granted settlement symbols to four new communities in the West Bank, finalizing their status. Among them is the city of Shira, designated for the Samaria Regional Council, which was approved by the Security Cabinet in December 2025. Located east of Rosh Ha'ayin and adjacent to Highway 5, Shira is planned for approximately 9,500 dunams and is expected to house tens of thousands of housing units.

Also receiving official status in the Samaria region is the settlement of Har Bezak, also declared a new settlement by the Security Cabinet in December 2025. In the Gush Etzion Regional Council, the settlement of Pnei Kedem, established 26 years ago, has been officially recognized. The fourth settlement, Kerem Ya'ar (also known as Ya'ar El Kerem), located in Gush Etzion, was also declared by the Security Cabinet in December 2025.
