IDF Completes Underground Infrastructure Clearance on Ali Taher Ridge

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Thursday that it has completed the clearance of underground infrastructure on the Ali Taher Ridge. Forces from the 36th Division recently operated to clear two underground routes in the area, gaining operational control both above and below ground. During the operation, militants were eliminated or fled the area.

The ongoing activity aims to neutralize the underground infrastructure, which was used by terrorists to carry out attacks against Israel and IDF forces. The IDF stated that this operation has neutralized the ability to launch terror attacks from these routes against Israeli civilians and soldiers. The underground facilities included command centers, weapons storage rooms, generator rooms, living quarters, showers, and kitchens, enabling terrorists to sustain prolonged operations.

According to the IDF, this strategic infrastructure was built over two decades and was funded and designed by the Iranian terror regime. Following the completion of the clearance, the IDF will re-establish defensive positions based on ongoing situation assessments.
