Rotem Hatuah Denies Misconduct, Vows to Quit Soccer If Proven

Soccer player Rotem Hatuah has strongly refuted claims of disciplinary issues after his potential transfer to Ironi Tiberias fell through. The club's owner representative, Shimon Hadari, stated that the locker room did not want Hatuah, with five players reportedly protesting his signing. Hatuah, who previously played for Hapoel Be'er Sheva and Hapoel Haifa, expressed his anger that his father spoke to the media about the situation without his knowledge and stated he prefers not to engage with the press.

In an interview with "5 Ba'avir," Hatuah asserted that he is being judged on factors unrelated to his professional abilities. He emphasized his commitment to personal training and doing everything necessary to perform well. Hatuah acknowledged a recent period of two years where his professional performance was not strong, and also mentioned a difficult half-season with Hapoel Haifa, but insisted he has never had a disciplinary offense. He challenged anyone to produce evidence of misconduct, vowing to quit soccer if a single disciplinary infraction is found.

Hatuah also addressed his public image, denying he is a "party animal" and clarifying that his social life, including vacations, does not interfere with his professional commitments. He stated he has never missed a game or practice due to social activities and maintained his routine even during his time at Hapoel Be'er Sheva. He believes he is a well-liked teammate and that any hesitation to sign him might stem from his professional capabilities rather than social issues.

Hatuah expressed surprise at being judged on external factors rather than performance and remains confident that another team will sign him. He reiterated his love for the game and denied any thoughts of retirement, stating that soccer is his life.
