Lebanon's Civil Defense has recovered 70 bodies so far from two villages in southern Lebanon, 52 from Kfara and 18 from Hadatha. Officials said the figure is only preliminary and that body recovery efforts are still under way.
The ceasefire has allowed rescue teams to reach places that were inaccessible during the fighting. According to the report, this access is now making it possible to search areas that could not be entered earlier.
The Lebanese death toll is expected to rise significantly in the coming days as the recovery operation continues.
