Poll Shows Right-Wing Voters Favor Broad Union of Ideological Leaders
As the deadline for submitting party lists for the upcoming Knesset elections approaches, a poll conducted among users of the C14 WhatsApp channel reveals a strong preference for a broad union of ideological right-wing figures. The most popular scenario, by a significant margin, was a merger involving Avi Maoz, Moshe Feiglin, Bezalel Smotrich, and Itamar Ben-Gvir, uniting prominent leaders of the ideological right.
Coming in second place was a potential alliance between Ofer Winter and Yaron Zehlikha, an option gaining attention amid recent developments concerning Winter's party. Winter himself has stated his intention to unite only with new parties, limiting his potential partnerships to emerging political frameworks.
Other proposed mergers, including those involving Gilad Erdan, Yaron Zehlikha, Benny Gantz, and Chili Tropper, as well as a union between Yuval Alimlech's party and Shlomo Elbaum's supporters, and a potential pairing of Sharren Haskel and Gilad Erdan, received less support.
The poll results indicate a clear desire among participants for a more comprehensive union on the right flank of the political map, rather than alliances centered on figures associated with the centrist or state-oriented right. With the list submission deadline looming, it remains to be seen if these voter preferences will translate into actual political maneuvers.
