Police Investigate Israeli Journalist Over Security Risk to Netanyahu's Son

Israeli police have launched an investigation into journalist Uri Misgav following allegations that his publications may have endangered the security of Yair Netanyahu, the son of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The probe was initiated after receiving a letter from Netanyahu's attorney detailing claims against Misgav for allegedly compromising Netanyahu's safety.

Investigators are currently gathering evidence related to Misgav's past publications and activities. Copies of the letter have also been sent to the head of the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) and the Attorney General. Misgav has frequently published details about Yair Netanyahu's whereabouts and activities, including his home address and apartment number, as well as locations he has visited.

This investigation comes after it was recently revealed that Yair Netanyahu had been moved from his residence by Shin Bet security personnel due to a concrete and active Iranian threat. The police are now examining the potential link between the information disseminated by Misgav and the specific threat against Netanyahu the younger.
