Police Investigate Haaretz Journalist Over Alleged Risk to Netanyahu's Son

Israel Police have launched a preliminary review into Haaretz journalist Uri Misgav, following a complaint filed by the attorney representing Yair Netanyahu. The complaint, sent to the Police Commissioner and copied to the head of the Shin Bet and the Attorney General, alleges that Misgav revealed the locations of Yair Netanyahu. Currently, the police action is described as a review, not a formal investigation. No request has yet been made to the Attorney General for approval to investigate Misgav, which is required when a journalist is investigated in the line of duty.

The review was initiated after Yair Netanyahu's lawyer, Uriel Hor Nitzani, submitted the complaint. The allegations center on Misgav potentially endangering Netanyahu's son by disclosing his whereabouts. The police are currently gathering materials related to the complaint.
