Former Officer Fired Over Provocative Photos Hid Incriminating Secret at Crash Scene
A fatal car crash that occurred this week in Argentina began as a tragedy and quickly turned into an especially bizarre criminal case. It all began late at night, when a black, powerful BMW was involved in a serious chain-reaction crash in the Ezeiza area. The force of the impact threw a 48-year-old pickup truck driver from his vehicle, killing him at the scene before rescue crews could arrive.
Three young women were in the luxury car and escaped without serious injuries. One of them was Nicole Gabriela Verón, 20, who is well known to law enforcement authorities in Argentina. Verón had until recently served as a regular officer in the Buenos Aires police, but was dismissed under embarrassing circumstances after it emerged that she had sold intimate adult content and nude photos of herself online. In some of the videos she posted to social media and to OnlyFans, which drew millions of views, she was even photographed wearing her official police uniform and holding handcuffs in front of the camera.
When police forces arrived at the fatal crash scene, Verón approached one of the officers and complained that she was feeling unwell. The officer showed compassion toward the young woman and allowed her to sit in the back seat of his patrol car, parked about 50 meters from the crash, while he and his colleagues worked to secure the scene and treat the injured.
That human gesture turned out to be a serious mistake. When the officers returned to the patrol car a few minutes later and Verón stood up, they were surprised to discover that she had taken advantage of their lack of attention to hide an incriminating item in the vehicle. Under the seat, she left a pink 9 mm gun with eight bullets in the magazine, which was immediately seized as evidence.
The former officer, who tried to get rid of the weapon, which she held without a license and illegally, now faces a serious charge of unlawful possession of military-grade weapons. But the trouble does not end there. In the luxury car, estimated at $85,000, about a quarter of a million shekels, police also found various drugs.
The police investigation found that Verón was not the one driving the car at the time of the crash, but another young woman named Janine Suchás, who also produces adult content and has more than half a million followers on Instagram. It also emerged that in the past two months alone, the car had accumulated speeding fines totaling 522,000 Argentine pesos, about 1,300 shekels, a fact that raises further questions about the suspects’ conduct. Police have opened a separate investigation to determine whether the crash is linked to drug trafficking, while the investigation into the circumstances of the crash itself continues.
