Rabbi Yitzchak Zagah Advocates Radical Solutions for Arab Uprising and Security

Rabbi Yitzchak Zagah, a candidate on the joint list of the Religious Zionism and Zehut parties, has outlined a series of controversial proposals addressing what he perceives as a national crisis.

Zagah, who is ranked eighth on the list, stated in an interview that the "Arab street is acting against the State of Israel; there is an uprising here." He specifically pointed to Bedouins in the South as rebelling against Israeli rule, noting that major companies pay protection money to Bedouins to allow construction. He also highlighted the widespread availability of weapons in Arab communities, claiming it's easier to buy a gun than milk for a baby at night. As a solution, Zagah proposed "voluntary emigration" for Arabs who do not connect with the Jewish state, suggesting the creation of an organized, planned, and funded emigration option and seeking potential destination countries abroad.

Furthermore, Zagah criticized Israel's security and legal systems, arguing that soldiers are dying due to "legal distortions" and fabricated war laws created by lawyers, rather than adhering to Halachic (Jewish law) principles. He also raised concerns about security vulnerabilities in the healthcare system, citing the acceptance of doctors trained in Nablus, where Hamas won elections, without security vetting. He questioned the loyalty of Arab citizens, noting that 45% of those receiving medical licenses in 2023 were Arab doctors, and demanded security clearance for medical professionals, asserting it's not racism but a matter of Jewish identity.

Zagah also expressed support for the union between Zehut and Religious Zionism, calling it a "technical bloc" that has already shown promise in polls, removing the fear of the electoral threshold. He believes his party's leader, Moshe Feiglin, should be the next Minister of Defense, emphasizing the need for a civilian leader with strategic vision rather than a military general, to prevent perceived strategic errors like the entry of aid trucks into Gaza and to address issues with US munitions and aid.
