IDF's 'Tzuri' Battalion Conducts Major Operation in Benjamin Region

The "Tzuri" Blitz Battalion, established following the October 7th attacks, has carried out a large-scale operation in the village of Beit Ur al-Tahta, within the Benjamin Regional Brigade's area of responsibility. The operation, conducted along Highway 443, aims to thwart stone-throwing incidents and prevent attacks on Israeli vehicles.

During the operation, IDF forces focused on apprehending wanted individuals and conducting extensive searches for weapons and equipment used in terrorist activities. The "Tzuri" battalion is part of the 182nd Reserve Brigade, subordinate to the 96th "Gilad" Division. This division is the first new division established in the IDF in 46 years, formed in response to the lessons learned from the October 7th Hamas assault.

The "Gilad" Division is primarily composed of reservists who were previously exempt from service. Its responsibilities include preparing for potential threats along the border with Jordan in the Jordan Valley and Emek areas. The "Tzuri" battalion's recent operation underscores the IDF's ongoing efforts to enhance security and counter threats in the West Bank.
