IDF Chief Orders Additional Infantry Battalion to Reinforce Koterah Area Amid Security Incidents

The Chief of Staff held a situation assessment with the Central Command commander, the head of the Operations Directorate, and the head of the Operations Division regarding recent incidents in the Koterah area. He ordered the deployment of an additional regular infantry battalion, to be mobilized from reserve training, to strengthen operational control and prevent further serious events. Additional forces will be held in reserve for deployment as needed. The operation is conducted in close coordination with the police and the Shin Bet to restore order and ensure accountability for the rioters. The Chief of Staff also instructed forces in the Judea and Samaria sector to strictly adhere to operational conduct and use of force protocols in such incidents.
