Three-Year-Old Ahmed Awad Killed in Tamra Traffic Accident
Ahmed Awad, a 3-year-old boy from Tamra, was critically injured on Monday after being hit by a car and later died in hospital. The police have opened an investigation into the circumstances of the crash, and the driver was taken in for questioning and had his license suspended for now.
A relative of Awad told ynet that the family was in “deep pain and sorrow” after the tragedy, adding that everyone was standing with the immediate family to support them emotionally.
The death came amid a series of fatal road accidents in Arab localities in recent days, which have claimed six lives in total. Just days earlier, Susan Abu Dahas, a woman in her 50s from Fureidis, was killed in a single-vehicle crash.
Her husband, Muin Abu Dahas, said she worked in elder care and had left home to deliver medicine to an elderly woman. “She said, ‘I’ll be back and go with you to the neighbors’ wedding,’” he said. “She left and never came back alive.” He described her as “a wonderful wife and a wonderful mother of three children,” and said their daughter with special needs had been especially close to her.
