Tree Fire Near Beit Meir Damages Antenna, Poses No Threat to Homes
Firefighters from the Beit Shemesh region are battling a tree fire at the entrance to the moshav (cooperative agricultural community) of Beit Meir, located in the Jerusalem district. The blaze has damaged an antenna near the scene. Soldiers who were in the area have been evacuated.
Fire and Rescue Services are coordinating with the Israel Electric Corporation to disconnect power in the vicinity. This measure is necessary to ensure the safety of the firefighters as they continue their operations in the area.
There is currently no danger to residential homes in Beit Meir.
