Maccabi Tel Aviv sets new attendance rule for season-ticket holders

Maccabi Tel Aviv has announced a new attendance policy for season-ticket holders starting with the 2026/27 season, saying the move is meant to ensure the stadium seats are used more efficiently and to open up empty places to other fans.

According to the club, any season-ticket holder who records fewer than 13 attendances at home matches included in the subscription during the 2026/27 campaign could, at the club’s discretion, lose priority to renew the pass for 2027/28. The announcement was issued ahead of next season because demand is high.

The club said attendance will count either by entering a match with the personal season ticket or by listing the ticket for resale through the club’s official resale system, even if it does not sell. To count that way, the ticket must be put up for resale no later than 24 hours before kickoff, unless a separate notice is published for a specific match.

Maccabi also stressed that transferring a ticket to another user, or handing it over outside the official resale platform, will not count as attendance under the new policy. The announcement was published on 16 June 2026 at 13:55 by Sport 5.
