Toldos Aharon Rebbe Heads to Hungary for Summer Retreat, Hasidim Gather for Farewell and Study Milestone

The Toldos Aharon Rebbe is due to fly out this week for an extended period of rest in Hungary, where he will remain through the summer months in the area of Kerestir. The trip is meant to give him respite from the year’s burdens and prepare for the coming period of repentance and the High Holy Days.

Ahead of his departure, thousands of Hasidim will gather this evening in the main synagogue of the sect in Jerusalem’s Mea Shearim neighborhood. There, the Rebbe will deliver a Torah talk, after which the crowd will pass before him for a farewell blessing.

Last night, Monday, the main study hall hosted a celebratory gathering marking the completion of the “Talta Bava” portion of Nezikin, the tractates Bava Kamma, Bava Metzia, and Bava Batra, and the start of Sanhedrin in the daily study program “Amud Hayom.” The program was founded by the Rebbe. In the main address, he spoke about the importance of consistent study and praised the hundreds of learners.

The guest of honor was Rabbi of Lemitnov, the Gavad of Liminov from the United States, who is currently visiting the Holy Land. At the end, hundreds of Hasidim came forward to wish the Rebbe l’chaim, and new volumes of the Talmud tractate Sanhedrin were distributed at the entrance to the study hall for the start of the new study cycle.
