Likud MK Tally Gotlieb Accuses Netanyahu of Betrayal Over Knesset List Placement

Member of Knesset Tally Gotlieb has escalated her public criticism of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, accusing him of "stabbing me in the back" following her placement at the 20th spot on the Likud party's Knesset list. Gotlieb, who previously secured the 12th position in Likud's primary elections, expressed her disappointment and anger in a series of social media posts and a radio interview.

In an interview with Kol Barama radio, Gotlieb stated, "Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stabbed me in the back." She also took to Twitter, decrying what she called a "disgusting campaign against women" within the Likud campaign. Gotlieb shared a campaign video featuring prominent male Likud figures discussing their ideas, noting the absence of women and any mention of the fight against the "crazy Supreme Court" or "judicial apartheid."

Gotlieb asserted that her loyalty to Netanyahu and the right-wing government has been unwavering, and she has made significant sacrifices. She stated she would not be a "doormat" while she leads the "stubborn struggle against the civil service and against the rebellion of the Supreme Court." She claimed Netanyahu followed the advice of his advisors to "targetedly foil" her in the primaries, leading to her current low list position despite her success in the primary vote.

Gotlieb further alleged that campaign members are "leaking information against me and portraying me as a factor weakening Likud." She indicated that she would seriously consider a "realistic offer" from another party that respects her electoral strength and potential for a significant ministerial role, but stated no such offer has yet been made.
