Arab Parties Urged to Rise Above Infighting Ahead of Elections

Lawyer Shuaa Masarweh Mansour has criticized the escalating verbal attacks and accusations of treason among Arab political parties, labeling it a continuation of a "chair war" that has long disgusted the public. Mansour stressed that Arab leaders are not figures like Gamal Abdel Nasser and lack genuine popular support based on their platforms.

Instead, Mansour argued, the public will vote out of frustration with the current "fascist government" and their own deteriorating living conditions, not out of faith in the Arab parties. The parties have failed to address critical issues such as violence, crime, poverty, planning and construction, home demolitions, and displacement.

Mansour warned that the continued infighting will only alienize voters further. He stated that people are overwhelmed by their daily struggles and that voting will be a "cry of anger" rather than support for the parties. He anticipates strong turnout for the United Arab List and Hadash-Ta'al (the Joint List).

He urged the parties to "rise above" their disputes, reminding them that the public has been let down for years and they should not be the cause of continued disappointment.
