Israeli Tourists Lead Cyprus Spending, Despite Shorter Stays

Israeli tourists emerged as the biggest spenders in Cyprus during June 2026, according to data from the island's Central Statistical Service. On average, Israeli visitors spent €174.27 per day, significantly more than any other nationality. Norwegians followed in second place, spending over €30 less per day than Israelis. Other nationalities trailed further behind: British tourists, who constitute the largest group of visitors, spent an average of €104 daily, while Poles spent €84, Greeks €76.60, Finns €70.70, and Americans €62.

Despite their high daily expenditure, Israelis spend considerably less time in Cyprus compared to other tourist groups. The average stay for an Israeli tourist was 3.9 days, in contrast to the 8.2 days spent by a typical British visitor. In terms of volume, Israelis were the second-largest tourist group in Cyprus in June 2026, making up 16.4% of all visitors. This figure rose to 20.5% in July.
