Over 260,000 Apply for Knesset Election Day Jobs
The Central Elections Committee for the 26th Knesset announced on Wednesday that approximately 260,000 citizens have applied to work at polling stations on election day, scheduled for Tuesday, October 27, 2026. The applications are for the positions of "polling station secretary" and "election integrity monitor."
In a statement, the committee reported a significant surge of about 145% in applications for the "election integrity monitor" role compared to the elections for the 25th Knesset. These monitors are responsible for overseeing, documenting any exceptional events, and recording the vote counting process.
The committee is currently in the process of classifying applicants to select its election day staff.
