Likud Minister Slams Arab Party Ra'am as Hamas Affiliate

Deputy Minister Almog Cohen of the Likud party has strongly criticized the possibility of political cooperation with the Arab party Ra'am, equating it to Hamas. In an interview with 103FM, Cohen stated that any party unwilling to condemn Hamas cannot be a political partner. He elaborated, "It's not because he's Arab, it's because he's not willing to condemn Hamas, why? Because it's a subsidiary, it's exactly the same product in a different package."

Cohen further emphasized his point with a harsh metaphor, saying, "Whoever doesn't understand this yet probably needs another truck to hit them at 120 km/h." His remarks highlight a significant ideological rift and distrust between elements of the Likud party and Ra'am, a party that has previously been a key coalition partner for Israeli governments.
