Likud Slams Abbas Over Refusal to Label Hamas, Hezbollah Terrorist Groups

The Likud party launched a sharp attack on Monday against Yoav Segalovitz, following his official joining of the Ra'am party led by Mansour Abbas. The criticism also extended to Gadi Eisenkot and Avigdor Lieberman.

Likud stated that Segalovitz cannot hide the fact that Mansour Abbas refuses to recognize Hamas and Hezbollah as terrorist organizations and is pushing for the establishment of a Palestinian state. The party further linked Abbas's positions to the possibility of forming a future government with other parties, claiming that "together with Eisenkot and Lieberman, they are going to establish a Palestinian state government."

The Likud's offensive comes amid the formal alliance between Segalovitz and Ra'am, which materialized after a period of negotiations. Segalovitz is expected to be integrated into Ra'am's list for the upcoming elections.

The Palestinian issue has recently been a focal point of political disputes surrounding Ra'am. Abbas has called for recognition of a Palestinian state, while Eisenkot responded by declaring that no Palestinian state would be established under his leadership.
