Southern Israel Restores Water Supply to Agriculture After Shortage
Water supply to agriculture in southern Israel has been restored following a temporary disruption, the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure and the Water Authority announced. Water supply to private households continued uninterrupted throughout the period.
The restoration was made possible by the return to operation of several desalination facilities on the previous evening, increased pumping from wells and the Sea of Galilee, and the replenishment of water reservoirs. The authorities confirmed that water supply to both homes and agricultural sectors will continue, though municipalities have been asked to reduce water flow to public gardens.
This measure aims to ensure consistent water availability for essential needs while managing resources effectively.
