Police Approve Large Fan Flags for Hapoel Tel Aviv-Beitar Jerusalem Match
District Commander Superintendent Haim Sergrov met with Hapoel Tel Aviv CEO Guy Primor on Tuesday to discuss fan support equipment for the upcoming match against Beitar Jerusalem. Following their conversation, Sergrov approved the entry of a large "Manuela" flag for the game, a decision made after considering Primor's stance.
However, Sergrov issued a stern warning: if these large "deployment" flags or "Manuela" flags are used to conceal pyrotechnics, they will be banned from all football stadiums indefinitely. The Israel Police will take all necessary measures against offenders.
Primor emphasized the importance of fan displays for the club and the vibrancy of Israeli football. Sergrov affirmed the police's support for fan expression but stressed their primary duty is to ensure stadium safety and prevent disorder.
Football Association Chairman Shino Zuarz was also involved in discussions with senior police officials, a move appreciated by the club.
