Mali International Diakite Signs with Hapoel Haifa
Hapoel Haifa has signed 21-year-old winger Chikana Diakite, who impressed the club's professional staff during a trial period. Diakite, a player for Mali's national teams, will be the sixth foreign player on the team's roster for the upcoming season, which includes an option for an additional year.
Diakite has represented Mali at the senior level three times and has seven caps for the country's youth squad. His previous clubs include Real Bamako in Mali and Azam FC in the Tanzanian league. He finalized the deal through his agent, Frank Belhassan.
Team owner Yoav Katz expressed his satisfaction with the signing, stating, "We continue to strengthen the team to keep improving the good performance we have shown so far." The club is part of the Israeli Premier League.
