Mali International Diakite Signs With Hapoel Haifa
Hapoel Haifa has signed 21-year-old winger Chikana Diakite, who impressed the club's professional staff during a trial period. Diakite, a player for Mali's national teams, will be the sixth foreign player on the team's roster for the upcoming season, with an option for an additional year.
Diakite previously played for Real Bamako in Mali and Azam FC in the Tanzanian league. He has three caps for the senior Mali national team and seven for their under-21 squad. His agent, Frank Belhassan, facilitated the deal.
"We continue to strengthen the team to keep improving the good performance we have shown so far," said team owner Yoav Katz regarding the signing.
