Hapoel Haifa Tests Malian Midfielder Cheick Keita in Preseason Friendlies
Hapoel Haifa is advancing its preparations for the upcoming season by bringing in 20-year-old Malian defensive midfielder Cheick Keita for evaluation. Keita, whose potential signing was first reported by Sport 5, is set to arrive in Israel tomorrow and will join the team’s training sessions starting Sunday. The club plans to assess his performance in two upcoming friendly matches: against Maccabi Netanya on Tuesday and Hapoel Kfar Saba next Friday.
In addition to Keita, left-back Ariel Mendy, who recently signed with Hapoel Haifa, is expected to begin training with the team next week. The club also expressed satisfaction with the pace of season ticket renewals, noting that over 50 percent of last season’s subscribers have already renewed their tickets under a promotion that maintained last season’s prices until July 1. Ticket sales to the general public officially opened yesterday.
