Colombian Winger Alex Castro Signs With Hapoel Kfar Shalem
Hapoel Kfar Shalem, a team in Israel's second-tier Liga Leumit, has officially signed Colombian winger Alex Castro. The 32-year-old player, valued at approximately 250,000 euros according to Transfermarkt, joins the club to bolster its offensive capabilities.
Castro brings a wealth of experience from various leagues in Colombia, including over 150 appearances in the top division. His career also includes stints in Mexico and Uruguay. Notably, he was transferred for 1.9 million euros to Mexican club Cruz Azul in January 2020.
In the previous season, Castro played for Millonarios in Colombia's first division, though he saw limited playing time before departing as a free agent this summer. He will now compete in the Liga Leumit.
