News 13 health correspondent Hila Elroy underwent a medical operation on Tuesday and later updated followers from her hospital bed. Before going into surgery, she posted a story on Instagram showing herself fasting in a waiting room, joking that the screens around her displayed a glass of cold water with ice at the very moment she was not allowed to drink.

Soon afterward, Elroy reassured concerned followers with another story from the hospital. In the post, she appeared tired but smiling and wrote, "It is already over... the surgery went successfully. Now there are 3 weeks of recovery." The update indicates she is expected to spend the coming three weeks recuperating.
