Corey Feldman Hospitalized After In-Flight Medical Emergency on Flight to Los Angeles
Actor and musician Corey Feldman was taken to a hospital in Los Angeles after suffering a medical emergency during a flight from Chicago to LAX, according to TMZ. Sources familiar with the matter said paramedics were waiting at the gate when he arrived Monday afternoon.
A source close to Feldman, best known for 1980s films including "The Goonies," "Stand by Me," and "Little Monsters," said he began feeling very unwell during the flight and was examined by a doctor who happened to be onboard. Doctors currently suspect either pancreatitis or gallstones, but he is still undergoing tests at the hospital.
The Los Angeles Fire Department told TMZ its crews were dispatched to the airport after reports of a patient experiencing a medical emergency. The department said a 54-year-old man was taken to a local hospital for further evaluation and treatment, and TMZ reported that the patient was Feldman.
Before the incident, Feldman appeared to be enjoying his time in Chicago. On social media, he shared posts from the Stand By Me Live Tour and from a visit to Michael Jackson’s family home in Gary, Indiana. TMZ said it contacted Feldman for comment, but had not received a response.
