New "Light of Shalom" Book Series by Rebbe of Miskolcz Released
A new five-volume series of books, "Light of Shalom" on the Jewish holidays, authored by the Rebbe of Miskolcz, spiritual leader of Petah Tikva's Haredi community, has been published. The series is described as a luxurious and illuminating collection, featuring profound insights, pearls of wisdom, and sublime ideas presented through homiletics, pilpul (talmudic argumentation), and Hasidism. It covers all of Israel's holidays, including Elul, Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Sukkot, Hanukkah, Purim, Passover, Shavuot, and the period of the Three Weeks, as well as a special volume on Shabbat, Brit Milah, Bar Mitzvah, marriage, Torah study, prayer, redemption, faith, and the yahrzeits of righteous individuals.
The Rebbe of Miskolcz is recognized as a leading scholar and righteous figure of the generation, and his teachings and previous books have been warmly received in the Torah world and yeshivas. The "Kingdom of Torah Miskolcz" institute also announced that a limited quantity remains of the Rebbe's "Light of Shalom" series on the Talmud (Shas) and the Torah.
Notably, the "Light of Shalom on Shas" series includes a rare four-page letter with halachic and study notes written in the hand of Rabbi Yitzchak Shlomo Eliyashiv, zt"l, sent to the Rebbe of Miskolcz. This letter, dated November 10, 1990, is considered exceptional as Rabbi Eliyashiv rarely wrote such extensive letters. Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky, zt"l, upon receiving the Shas series, was impressed by Rabbi Eliyashiv's letter and encouraged the Rebbe, stating, "You must publish at least ten more books." Rabbi Kanievsky also inquired about the Rebbe's large yeshiva in Petah Tikva.
The new series is currently available at a subsidized price for a limited time. The article also includes a sample excerpt from the new series, focusing on the verse "Return, Israel, to the Lord your God," interpreting the word "until" as "witness."
