Far-Right Activist Mordechai David Joins Ben Gvir's Party Campaign

Far-right activist Mordechai David will join the campaign of National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir's party, taking a paid position within the party's youth division. This move was reported by Bar Shem Or on Channel 13 news.

Also reportedly receiving paid campaign roles are Victor Shiriqi, who recently lost in the Likud party's primary elections for a youth slot, and Ziv Baranes, a reservist whom Defense Minister Israel Katz allegedly intervened to prevent from being dismissed from reserve duty. The initiative for these appointments is attributed to Eliran Dahan, a right-wing social media influencer who has become close to Ben Gvir and is part of his inner circle.

This development occurs amidst ongoing political tensions. Last week, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Minister Ben Gvir clashed after Netanyahu urged Ben Gvir to unite with Bezalel Smotrich to "save the right-wing bloc." Ben Gvir reportedly rejected the proposal, believing the move was intended to weaken his political influence.
