Fatal Fire Engulfs Electric Car in Rishon LeZion Parking Garage
A severe fire broke out in the underground parking lot of a 20-story residential building on Ahi Lahaav Street in the Neve Hof neighborhood of Rishon LeZion on Tuesday evening. The blaze, which began in an electric vehicle, quickly spread to other cars. Firefighters conducting complex rescue and search operations discovered a deceased individual inside one of the burning vehicles. Medical personnel pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
Initial assessments suggest the fire originated from the electric car, possibly due to a self-accident within the garage. Flames rapidly engulfed surrounding vehicles. Fire and rescue teams are working in conditions of poor visibility and thick smoke to contain and extinguish the blaze. Simultaneously, they are conducting thorough searches to ensure no other individuals are trapped.
Due to the dense smoke rising through the building, emergency forces instructed residents to remain in their apartments and avoid stairwells. The Israel Police have launched an investigation into the circumstances of the accident and the fire.
