Smotrich Leads Coalition Voters in Responsibility Poll, Outranking Ben Gvir and Winter
A poll conducted by News 14 among coalition voters reveals that Religious Zionism party leader Bezalel Smotrich is perceived as demonstrating the highest level of responsibility towards the right-wing bloc. Smotrich secured 45% of the vote in the survey.
Ofer Winter, leader of the "Am Israel" party, came in second with 17%, followed closely by Otzma Yehudit chairman Itamar Ben Gvir, who garnered 15%. The poll indicated a narrow two-point gap between Winter and Ben Gvir.
Additionally, 23% of the coalition voters surveyed stated they had no opinion on the matter. The survey was published on Sunday evening.
The poll's findings emerge amidst ongoing discussions within the right-wing bloc regarding potential electoral alliances ahead of upcoming elections. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had recently urged Smotrich and Ben Gvir to unite, even inviting them for a meeting, but Ben Gvir reportedly rejected this, proposing instead a merger between Religious Zionism and Winter's party.
