90s Israeli Kids' TV Stars Reunite for Hanukkah Musical
Beloved 90s Israeli children's entertainers Hani Nachmias and Michal Yanai are set to star in a new musical production titled "Mutek FOREVER" this Hanukkah. The show, a revival of the "Mutek Festival" brand, will bring together three generations of children's entertainers on a single stage for a family-friendly musical experience.
The plot centers on a magical "Song Factory" where childhood soundtracks are preserved. When a malfunction threatens the music, the stars embark on a mission to save the beloved songs. The production boasts elaborate sets, dancers, acrobats, special effects, and new arrangements of classic children's songs, aiming to captivate audiences of all ages.
Notably, the show marks a full-circle moment for Mickey Mukhtar, who plays the character "Mickey Mah Nishmiki." Mukhtar began her career as a child dancer in Michal Yanai's iconic show "The Michal Carnival." Now a star in her own right and a co-writer of the new musical's script, she will share the stage with Yanai, her childhood mentor.
"Mutek FOREVER" is scheduled to premiere during the Hanukkah holiday in select venues across Israel. The musical is directed and choreographed by Omer Zamri, with the script co-written by Mickey Mukhtar and Omer Zamri. Shaked is responsible for the musical production.
