Former Chief Rabbi Addresses Record Enrollment at Torah High School
The "Amal HaTorah" high school, affiliated with the "Chasdei Ne'urim" organization, has opened the new academic year with record student enrollment. The institution, led by Rabbi Dov Rozman, is experiencing a significant increase in its student body.
The start of the school year, coinciding with the Hebrew month of Elul, focuses on both educational routine and setting spiritual and personal goals for students. As part of this, former Chief Rabbi of Israel, Rabbi David Lau, delivered a special motivational address to the students.
Rabbi Lau, president of the "Center Leo," spoke about the significance of the Days of Mercy and Forgiveness and the opportunity Elul provides for self-reflection and future planning. He also emphasized the importance of interpersonal relationships, stressing that alongside personal and spiritual growth, students must be responsible for how they treat others and value friendship as a crucial part of self-improvement and drawing closer to God.
"Amal HaTorah" is a religious high school for boys that integrates yeshiva-style studies with general education and vocational training, tailoring programs to individual student needs. Founded about a decade ago, the school prioritizes personal guidance and maintaining connections to Torah study and the community.
The "Chasdei Ne'urim" administration prepared for the influx of new students, providing support during the vacation period to ease their transition. The school aims to imbue students with the special atmosphere of Elul, preparing them for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.
Rabbi Dov Rozman expressed satisfaction with the record enrollment, stating the school's vision is to enable every student to grow through Torah and reverence for God in a way suited to them, with necessary support. He thanked Rabbi Lau for providing students with important tools for the new year, emphasizing that success includes not only academic and spiritual achievement but also growth in interpersonal relationships.
