Police Finalize Security for Maccabi Tel Aviv vs. Maccabi Haifa Soccer Match

Israeli police have completed security preparations for the upcoming soccer match between Maccabi Tel Aviv and Maccabi Haifa, scheduled for August 31st at 8:30 PM at Bloomfield Stadium in Tel Aviv. Hundreds of police officers, ushers, and security personnel will be deployed in and around the stadium starting in the afternoon to ensure crowd safety, maintain order, and manage traffic.

The stadium gates will open to the public at 6:00 PM. Police emphasize that all fans will undergo strict security checks and urge attendees to arrive early to avoid congestion. Weapons will not be permitted, and there will be no option to check them at the entrance. The use of drones and the entry of alcohol into the stadium are also prohibited.

Several streets near the stadium, including Emetz, Sheret Israel, HaTchiyah, and sections of streets 3320, 3952, and Etzion Gever, will have parking restrictions starting in the afternoon. Access to these streets will be limited to authorized personnel and residents, with increased enforcement against illegal parking.

Entry of crowd-support equipment requires approval from the fire department and police. The use of flares and other pyrotechnics is strictly forbidden and may result in a 3,000 shekel fine and criminal proceedings. Additionally, face coverings, neck warmers, or any clothing that obscures identification are prohibited, with violations potentially leading to a 500 shekel fine and denial of entry.

Police are calling on fans to comply with instructions from officers and ushers, refrain from physical or verbal violence, and uphold public law and order before, during, and after the match.
